Sunscreens and Bug Spray!

It’s that time of year again to stock up on our favourite sunscreens and get out and enjoy the sun.

I was telling my husband recently, that as much as I would love to throw caution to the wind and wear a bikini or attractive one-piece bathing suit, I’ll probably stick to my strong sunscreens and rash guards(swim shirts) over my swimwear.

As fun and fashionable as it may be in the moment, I really don’t want to worry after a long day in the sun that my joie de vive will result in skin cancer.

As a fair-skinned individual, I have to worry about such things. But these sunscreens are family favourites.

Babo Botantical Baby Skin Mineral Sunscreen 50 has a light smell and creates a glow on the skin – we often save this cream for our faces.

Thinksport SPF 50 Sunscreen smells amazing-like summer time beachy, pineapple, coconut vibes! We put this all over our bodies and it lasts hours.

And of course it wouldn’t be summer without Mosquitos! We’ve tried a few brands and this is one of our faves. All Terrain Kids Herbal Armor Natural Insect Repellent.

What is your go-to sunscreen and buy spray? We’re always on the lookout for vegan, natural products! Comment below!

Excellent reminder! I am a light-skinned black woman and I learned the hard way many years ago that I can indeed experience sunburn. Take it everywhere I go especially in summer! Thanks for the recs! Are they all vegan friendly?

Spicy Spatula! Yes, they are vegan and eco friendly. The thinksport even has a symbol that says it’s reef friendly. It also smells really nice.
