You may call it autumn or fall… I call it extended summer…
I love Spain. I couldn’t have picked a better shore to wash up on, but wow, is it ever hot in the summer.
Well, sure, you might say, summer is hot; that’s the way it is. And I agree. Except that in Spain, at least where I live, Summer lasts for six or seven months…
But it’s OK!
Because it means that all of those beautiful dresses that I thought would have to wait until next summer, still have time to shine!
Not only that, instead of a summer dress with sandals, slip-ons will suffice. Lightweight cardigans might be needed for those brisk and breezy evenings; vegan leather bags stand in for straw. Gleaming gold jewelry one wouldn’t dare of wearing in the humidity and staunch heat of July or August sparkles now…in extended summer.
