Outfit RECAP for October!

I love these Pajamas! Once again, I had a life moment where I realized I didn’t have any classy pajamas. How could a polite lady in her 40’s not own any nice pajamas?!
Anyway, problem solved. Natura pajamas are lovely! They are a very lightweight cotton so they are suitable for people in warmer climates or sweaty sleepers! I think they come out with new colors and patterns twice a year. I have four pairs now, so I really shouldn’t buy anymore, but…
This mummy costume is tops! Super affordable and comfortable to wear. My son wore this to Isla Magica in Seville. The perfect costume for running around and going on rides. As well, it’s very stretchy, so he’ll wear it for a few more years before we give it to his little cousin!
October
October was a little different this year as my husband was away for Canadian Thanksgiving, so we didn’t have a big meal.
As well, we went to Seville to visit grandparents and cousins. So fun, but we went from the cold, frosty air in the Catalonia region back to hot summer temperatures. Fashion wise, this was fun as I had a few summer dresses that I got another chance to wear.
As well October is spooky season and this year we went big with a kids Halloween party in the park. It was a lot of work but lots of fun. We might have it again next year but I’m hoping we will return to PortAventura – maybe this time with friends!

Pretty much a standard daily outfit. My skechers are everything to me! I’ve never been so grateful for a slip-on sandal in my life. I get looks for wearing socks with sandals but I don’t care!
Cold weather doesn’t stop me from wearing my skechers, I just add socklettes! I have them in a variety of colors to coordinate with my outfit or to protect my pantyhose when I’m wearing boots.
A pair of lightweight pants, tank top and longer top. I bought a few of these tops at a fast fashion store in Canada years ago and wore them traveling- To this day, they are still in good condition. I love the 3/4 length sleeve and relaxed fit. Check this link for the lovely Lavender Hill Clothing version and this link for a super affordable Amazon version.

I went with my friend and her little boy to Barcelona to celebrate her birthday! Just a couple of moms and one toddler roaming around Barcelona between school drop offs and pick ups.
I love this Circus Clothing acorn autumn dress. I don’t wear it enough and it’s really flattering and works all fall/winter. It has a medium fabric weight which makes it really versatile. It was quite a warm day when we went out, but with a cardigan and coat, this dress would work until spring!
I picked a navy blue pair of Toni Pons espadrilles, pretty much the only shoe I wear with dresses and skirts all summer. I have lots of lovely strappy sandals but if I know there is going to be a lot of walking, I go for Toni Pons – so flattering and comfortable!
My bag is by Biba/Slang. They are a very popular, affordable bag and accessories maker in Barcelona. Slang is their vegan department and I have been buying their lovely bags for almost 8 years! Large totes, crossbody, clutches or wallets – Slang has so many great styles!
And to finish the look some Tortoiseshell sunglasses. Check out Valorous London for a brand making gorgeous tortoiseshell styles.

A quiet moment in the park and a chance to take some selfies for my blog-lol! Another fast fashion find that I’ve had and worn regularly for a few years now. I’m definitely not a huge fan of fast fashion but it’s often difficult to find a nice, wool free turtleneck. Check out this Amazon version.

This is one of my all time favorite dresses. I can’t really find anything too similar but check the next link for a dress of the same vibe. The kind of dress that would make me want to start a fashion label, if only to make more of this one dress in different prints and colors!
And, for years, it didn’t fit until my seamstress friend Charlie altered it with side panels last summer – so happy! Aside from the sweaty hot summer, I can wear this dress Fall, Winter and Spring, alone or with a cardigan, bare legs or hoseiry – me encanta!
Another opportunity for Toni Pons! I brought these Stone linen and a pair of Ecru Linen to Seville, but I wore the Stone Linen every time!

This dress by 4Funkyflavours screams Seville! And I don’t think I’ve ever worn it without getting a compliment. Such a great flattering style and and pattern and the colors! Give me beige, creams and gold with lilac anytime! I have many lovely dresses, coats, and skirts by this wonderful company. 4funkyflavors really knows how to make a dress!

I love this Palm print dress by Circus Clothing! One of my favorites that I hope to wear this winter with a black blazer and knee high boots. But, this photo was taken in and amongst a family drama.
My husband and son were tired of taking photos of me and I had to remind them of all of the things I’m tired of doing for them -lol! I vowed to never use their photography services again and to start bringing a tripod. But, that only lasted until this past weekend! Ah, families…

Another wonderful dress in my large wardrobe of Circus Clothing items. I would recommend this dress to anyone and everyone. Any age, shape or size, this dress is going to make you look good and feel comfortable. lightweight corduroy, buttons and belt details, nice cut and length. I love it with boots or sandals. I bought this dress in three colors – Navy, Sage, and Red.
Most of my dresses have patterns and multiple colors, so I’m excited to style these dresses all winter with colorful, patterned hosiery.
As well, I’ll spend a lot of time in these super comfortable, stylish and sporty knee high boots from Pedro Miralles. For a dressier occasions, I’ll wear this dress and its sage and red sisters with some other knee high boots I have in my closet or on my list.

I went with my friend to Barcelona to pick up Halloween costumes for our kids. I love this dress from Who’s that Girl but it was from a few seasons ago. It really is the most wonderful fall dress. I can’t seem to find anything quite like it, but here is a similar dress that I also own and love! And of course, my new knee high boots from V.gan. They really are the perfect boot. I’m amazed how comfortable they are to wear and how good they look!

I had to go back to the city the same day for my son’s tech class. Usually, I go for a walk or find a cute café and catch up on my Substack reading and Instagram engagement. I couldn’t handle the idea of wearing high heels, so I switched things up. I love this Circus Clothing sweater, navy cord pants, colorful socks, and, of course, my navy Skechers.

I don’t think I’ve worn my corduroy pants so much as I have already this year. These pants were from Benetton and the pants above from Massimo Dutti from season’s past. They are still in great condition so I don’t think I’ll be buying anymore for a few more years. But, I really like the cords on Amazon by Gloria Vanderbilt. The color choices and fit are perfection!
As well, the turtleneck is from Zara from a few years ago. They do turtlenecks every year often with slight fabric and detail changes. This turtleneck has little gold buttons and a more wool-like feel and fits larger. Whereas past seasons didn’t have buttons, fit tight and had a cotton feel. However, fast fashion is fast fashion, and I try not to buy too much. But if I do, I’ll try the Amazon turtlenecks, as they are about the same price and have a great selection of colors.

These yoga pants are by a great Spanish brand called Born Living Yoga. I think I bought them three years ago but only just started wearing them. They have nice colors and details to mix it up a little. Otherwise, I wear dark blue or black yoga pants all the time. I found a pair on Amazon in a similar color.
When I wear yoga pants I always wear a long tank top to cover up. I’ve been wearing these long tanks for years now and they still look good. Again with a turtleneck, silver Skechers this time, and a pair of sockettes. I’m not sure if that’s an official name but that’s what I call them!

And here we are again in cords, this time with a cardigan and a floral dress shirt. I don’t remember shopping at Benetton in Canada, but it is very popular here. Every season, they make wonderful women’s dress shirts. I have quite a few from years past, and they are still in great condition. This particular shirt is not available, but Circus Clothing has one that is similar.
They have another one that is even closer in color and style but it’s not up on their site right now. So, if you really like this blouse, check their site from time to time, and it should be there soon! As well, you can find similar cords here and cardigan here, socks and Skechers.

Last but not least, my Halloween Party and Halloween night look! I bought this skirt from the Top Vintage platform last year, but this dress on Amazon is similar. Paired with a turtleneck and knee high boots – spooky stylish! We had an afternoon party in the park with a ton of kids. Then, on Halloween night, we went to Tibidabo to see the spooky costumes and decorations!
That’s it for October! I hope you found some inspiration or maybe even a few items to buy! If you do, let me know! Also, if you have any questions about the brands, clothing, etc,
