NAIOH – CafΓ© & Brunch
Plaça del Carrilet, 43840 Salou, Tarragona

This spring weather has me revisiting photos and videos of warm days gone by. I’m currently hard at work on my Portaventura posts as it’s almost time to fire up the flip-flops, slap on some sunscreen and enjoy the rides at Portaventura Theme Park – easily one of my favourite places on earth!
We have visited twice and ate really well in and out of the park. I have to say if you are vegan, vegetarian, lactose-free or gluten-free, Spain has you covered. I’m amazed at how many places cater to various dietary restrictions.

The city of Salou is no exception. Located on the Mediterranean sea just a short drive from Portaventura, this town was made for the holiday crowd with many types of accommodations, shops, and restaurants.

On our last trip, we discovered the recently opened NAIOH – CafΓ© & Brunch. Perfect location with a large terrace adjacent to a children’s play area.
There is a nice selection of indoor and outdoor seating though it’s not a huge place. Clean, crisp and giving off tropical vibes, this restaurant serves a variety of fresh fair.
It truly is a restaurant with options for all. Whether it’s a loaded toast like avocado toast, eggs benedict or a stack of pancakes, NAIOH does not disappoint. They also have juices, smoothies, chia bowls, french toast, and some nice looking baked goods.

I’m thinking we might have to add this place to our weekend list even if we’re not going to Portaventura. The beach near by is vast and wide with golden sand, beach recliners and boat and water sport rentals.
Salou is about an hour and twenty minutes by car and two and a half hours by train. So, you could make it a day trip but with so many hotels, airbnb’s or bed and breakfast options you might want to go for the weekend!
